2022 was a record year for investment in Cleantech companies –globally, VCs deployed $70.1B of capital across 3300+ funding rounds, an 89% increase from 2021.
Legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA) has certainly promoted investment in areas like clean energy production, but the Cleantech industry isstill quite fragmented with many different solutions being developed to tackle a multitude of issues from mobility and GHG emissions to waste management and the circular economy.
